Yes. Rooftop Shooting Range is an outdoor tactical gun range located about 25 minutes north of McKinney, at 442 County Road 4455 in Trenton, TX, right off TX-121. It features nine 40-yard tactical bays and a 150-yard rifle bay, and serves McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Allen, Celina, Prosper, and the greater DFW area.
Rooftop Shooting Range is one of North Dallas' premier outdoor ranges, roughly 45 minutes from Dallas in Trenton, TX. It is fully outdoor and built for dynamic training: draw from holster, movement, and rapid fire are all permitted across nine private tactical bays.
Yes. Every bay supports pistols, rifles, and shotguns. The nine 40-yard tactical bays have steel targets, paper target stands, VTAC walls, barricades, and a PRS barricade. A separate 150-yard rifle bay is available to members who have passed the rifle bay qualification.
Yes. Rooftop is built for dynamic training. Drawing from a holster, shooting on the move, positional shooting, and rapid fire are all permitted in the tactical bays, which is rare among DFW-area ranges.
You do not need a membership. Day passes are $50. Non-members are welcome Monday through Friday, and after 1 PM on weekends. Day pass participants must call ahead on weekends. Active first responders and military receive 15% off.
Rooftop offers six membership tiers: Weekday ($89/mo), Bronze ($109/mo), Silver ($139/mo), Gold ($169/mo), Family ($249/mo), and Corporate ($1,200/mo). Members get RFID keycard access, priority bay access, 20% off classes and merchandise, discounted match fees, and access to the 150-yard rifle bay after qualification. There are no initiation or cancellation fees, and your rate is locked in from your join date.
Yes. Rooftop is the North Texas home of PCSL (Practical Competition Shooting League) and hosts regular sanctioned matches in pistol, concealment, rifle, and 2-gun formats. Matches are posted on PractiScore. Rooftop is one of the only ranges in the DFW area hosting sanctioned PCSL matches.
Yes, through Rooftop Shooting Academy. Courses include the Performance Pistol series (Core Fundamentals, Skills for Speed and Accuracy, Mechanics of Movement and Positioning, and Dynamic Shooting), Intro to Competition Shooting, and women's courses including Ladies Pistol Foundations and Concealed Carry Concepts. Private instruction is available with Andy Dang, Jenn Tang, and Peter Kim.

Yes, as long as you do so legally and with certain limitations. We generally do not allow mag dumping, as there is zero training value in mindlessly dumping ammo. Shooters are responsible for every round fired and ultimately accountable for any damage to equipment, and for liability if a round escapes the range.
Yes, a member's guests are not required to pass the rifle bay qualification to shoot in the rifle bay. However, members will be held accountable, and their membership may be revoked if their guests break any range rules.
No. Most of the LTC class curriculum is classroom-based, and we do not have an on-site classroom available.
While we respect everyone's 2nd Amendment rights, Rooftop Shooting Range is tailored to advanced shooters and professionals who value dynamic training, which demands higher skill and mastery of firearm safety. We vet all members and non-members to ensure a safe and professional environment for everyone.
Yes, absolutely. This is non-negotiable. Our insurance company requires all non-members to fill out waivers at every visit.
No. While we previously allowed night shooting, we discontinued it to prevent unnecessary emergency dispatch calls and to ensure first responders remain available for real emergencies.
