Competitive Shooting Range Near Dallas, TX
Rooftop Shooting Range hosts PCSL (Practical Competition Shooting League) matches on nine 40-yard tactical bays and a 150-yard rifle bay, about 45 minutes from Dallas and 25 minutes north of McKinney, TX. Draw-from-holster is allowed on our tactical bays during regular operating hours, not restricted to off-peak times, so you can run real stages rather than a limited version of one. Steel targets, movable barricades, VTAC walls, and competition walls let you build and reset courses of fire, and RFID-based autonomous bay access means you can log practice reps on your own schedule rather than staffed hours only.
Practice and Compete
PCSL matches run on a regular schedule across 1-Gun Pistol, 1-Gun Rifle, and 2-Gun formats. See the PCSL page for the current match calendar and registration through PractiScore and competitor.pcsleague.com. Between matches, Practice Day and Office Hours gives competitive shooters dedicated range time to drill stages and work position and movement without match pressure. If you are new to stage-based competition, the Intro to Competition Shooting Clinic covers scoring, stage breakdown, and safety procedures before you enter your first match.
Train Like a Competitor
Andy Dang, a USPSA Master-class competitor trained under Mason Lane, Hwansik Kim, and Travis Tomasie, leads Rooftop’s Performance Pistol series, including Skills for Speed and Accuracy, Mechanics of Movement and Positioning, and Dynamic Shooting, built for shooters training for competition rather than just qualification. Private instruction is available with Andy for shooters who want match-specific coaching. See the Firearm Training Classes page for the current schedule.
