Competitive Skills and Strategy with Andy Dang – Registration Opening Soon

Already shooting matches and ready to place higher? Competitive Skills and Strategy is Andy Dang’s advanced clinic for experienced competitors. It moves past fundamentals and into the decisions that separate mid-pack finishes from podiums: how you plan a stage, where you take risk, how you build activators that fire under pressure, and how you optimize performance across an entire match day.

This class pairs with the Intro to Competition Shooting Clinic on Saturday, January 2. Beginners take Saturday, experienced shooters take Sunday, and everyone can put it to use at the Rooftop match the following Saturday, January 9.

Subjects:

  • Stage planning: reading a stage brief, building a plan, and committing to it

  • Risk management: when to push speed and when to bank points

  • Activators and cues that trigger execution under match pressure

  • Position selection, entries, exits, and transitions on complex stages

  • Match-day performance optimization: mindset, pacing, and recovery between stages

  • Reviewing runs and turning mistakes into a training plan

Equipment Recommendations: Match-ready pistol, minimum three magazines, gun belt, magazine pouches, eye protection, ear protection

Ammunition: Minimum: 250 rounds | Suggested: 350 rounds
