High Speed IPSC progressive RIFLE fundamentals Class (2 day class)

Eleven years of international competition experience in IPSC/USPSA/3 gun. Two time IPSC grandmaster with multiple level 2, 3 championship wins and national title. 2022 IPSC world shoot team competitor in Pattaya Thailand.

Extensive training and coaching with and alongside many world class shooters and champions, notably Taran Butler of Taran Tactical innovations in which Sam is a sponsored factory team member.

Sam has been training and coaching all different walks of life that include: civilian, police, swat, FBI, military/special forces, competitive shooters, actors, pro athletes and musicians coupled with 20 years of teaching experience within multiple disciplines of topics and fighting arts.

Sam's approach to the "Tao" of shooting comes from a 10 year span of martial arts training (Kali/Jeet Kune do) blended with high level mindset education combined with another 11 years of competitive shooting in North America and abroad.

Sam's goal is to create enhanced rifle skills for all individuals at all levels. Students will be able to perform under pressure on demand by the end of the intensive 2 day course. Creating a new level of confidence and new skill set preparing you for your future rifle and 2 gun matches. Sams ultimate goal is to have you have leaving with a positive attitude and winning mindset.

Day 1:

Gun and gear coordination

How to move efficiently with the rifle platform

Rifle/PCC ergonomics and logistics

Principles of using leverage with the rifle

Custom Anatomical positioning and alignment of each individual 

Recoil oversight

Body mechanics and balance used specifically in high speed shooting

Erasing wasted movement while shooting in motion

Understanding rifle indicies and how they relate to multiple target engagements 

Red dot dexterity

Trigger guidance and velocity at varying distances

Transitions, splits and overall timing delegation

Day 2:

Visual competency 

Match management

Shooting on the move and understanding shooting in motion with a rifle

Mindset strategies and dealing with pressure while shooting in real time.

Mental game strategies: how and when to execute when it matters the most

Manipulations in motion

Rifle Mechanics from different start and shooting positions

Understanding the geometry of the rifle in relation to Shooting positions

Principles of moving and rifle related footwork 

Target engagement formulas

Engaging moving targets 

Entries and exits based on environment 

Competition amongst peers

Round count: 700-1000 rounds for 2 days.
